Been leaking coolant for a while. Finally had time today and found that my 3 year old 4 core radiator is already cracked down on the right side; where the hose goes into the .

I've seen PWR alluminium radiators at $815 or so. Alternatively I could replace the one I have with the same model.

Radiators do break, but will the PWR last me longer than 3 years?

Ive always found that Radiators even if they are aftermarket only last about 2 years or so in late model cars or atleast thats what i was told when i got my new one in the EF XR8 aftermarket one cost me $200.

The PWR ones are very nice, but for our model car they are closer to 1K. I looked into one early last year. Definitely worth it if your car does a lot of highspeed work, or you are after the weight saving. Personally, go for another 4 core as you already have

When i replaced the radiator in my 6, i used a three core instead of the normal two core. Its fantastic, never gets warm, even when giving i a gutful for extended periods, but the fan shroud no longer covers all three cores and so has a gap running down the side. Doesnt seem to affect it, but was wondering whether the standard v8 clutch fan shroud will fit the 6s? not sure whether the fan is in the same position

drones lane has thermos, no clutch shroud..

My advise is to get an Adrad 4 core, where yours is cracking along the seam in the end tank the Adrad ones have improved endtanks, they are a solid sinsle piece one. Also I would be putting an tranny cooler in and not using the pissy little tranny cooler on the end tank. this helps to reduce the heat a little, but extends life.

I have popped every stock radiator I have had in my XR6's 3 xrs and 3 radiators.. first one I had for years after replacement, never an issue..

second car came to an abrupt end curtosy of a Honda. but again same deal. and current one AGAIN popped the radiator, Adrad again for replcement, not an issue since.

and they have a pretty good warranty on em to.

The question was for whoever is reading, not just drone! Just a curiousity for me.

Cheers guys. If they go every 2 years then might as well get the cheapest one and replace it every 2 years. The one that I currently have is an Adrad Dave. That cost me $415 fitted. Not overly expensive nor cheap.

where do you get those puppies from vik?
any loss in system performance, i.e. flow cooling ability as a result?
