hi all, im gona replace the pipe that goes from the maf to tb with a stainless piece and was wondering what the other bit of pipe that bends around over the strut tower is for? this is on my elxr8 thanks

its a resonator to cut down air noise and release backfire pressure,you will lift your air box lid and any other damage :roll: :roll:

ive been looking around and the intake pipes ive seen either have a sensor or somthing with wires coming off it like the one BPT do or they have a breather pipe. can i just get a bit of stainless pipe bent to fit or whats the go? please help.

yes u can just put a piece of SS pipe there in plave of the dogs turd and plastic tube. it has been done before, so i dont see a problem.

I have actually been told to cut the dogs turd back about 1/3 of the size it is now and re seal it. This is coming from a bloke that works at ford. i will have to ask the reasoning about it.

yep, just used a bit of the blue tube and clamped a bolt in, not pretty but will do until I get motivated to clean it up.
