Is it leaking through a crack in the plastic or is it just one of the hoses?

I didnt get the door sills. I didnt realise they were stick on. I didnt want to pay that price for stick on kick strips.

With the overflow bottle leak I thought I had a leak but in the end I just needed to replace the clamp for the bottom hose. It still had the Ford stock clamp which is a spring clip so I got a worm drive clamp and put that on and now it doesnt leak.

I took the oppertunity to change the coolant.

its only a small leak cos it takes about 2.5 months to empty the bottle but the strange bit is it dosent leak when driving. i only drive it every 3rd weekend or so and every time i get her out the shed it has lost a bit more coolent and there looks like some water marks around the bottom of the bottle but i gotta pull it out and have a good look

That was happening with mine, changed the cap for a new one and it was fixed. The spring lost its pressure and coolant was bypassing, but only after it was stopped and cooling down, would come back and find a small puddle under front of car and not every day either, would go a couple days with no prob, then do it again.

Also change the 3 clamps from the crappy factory ones (that you loosen with pliers or multigrips) to the good quality screw up ones, this is a common problem of coolant leaks, as the factory ones loose tension over time.

I put a new overflow bottle on my ute (XH) and it cost me around 90 bucks. This was after f**k around with three from a wrecker which all cracked within weeks :x . That was 6 months ago and I haven't had a prob. Was starting to wonder if there was a deeper problem :?
