Hey,

Can someone give me some ideas on which Rocker Covers are best suited to accomodate YT 1.7:1 adjustable RR's and not foul the upper manifold.

Im sure its been covered before, but search doesnt work :P

Thanks!

I used Redline chrome covers that cleared the posi locks on the roller rockers and still cleared the upper manifold, I did use a 3/8 spacer aswell.
Have the covers still for $20 if you want them.
Alloy 12mm spacer too, $80 for that.

Hmm, sounds like a spacer is a goer then.

Matt - got some pics of the covers? What's this spacer you're talking about? for the manifold or for the covers??

Thanks!

The ford motorsport EFI ones fit, but you need to grind the nipples of the inside or they just touch.

I find the double gaskets are prone to leak after a while. I sussed out 1/2 inch alloy spacers which I stuck down with a good silicon gasket maker using bolts finger tight to tension while it set overnight. They are rock solid dont leak been on for 30000km and I just use longer Stainless Steel allen bolts to go through the spacers and hold the standard covers on a single rubber coated metal gasket.

And here is a link to the spacers.

I have just put some 1.7 roller rockers into my engine and had no trouble with clearance at all with my standard rocker covers.

Were they adjustable? Which engine?

Yeah, the non-adj fit under the standard rocker covers fine, hence my original question being geard towards the adjustable RR's.
