Hey guys, this is a quick question, what would i need to convert my 5.0 dizzy setup to Coil packs, obviously the Coil packs them selves and the coil pack pickup sender (thing that sits in the dizzy slot, looks kinda like one without the top half) does it give much of a power gain? Just curious as when i can find XR8 parts here, a lot of the time the people selling them have no clue of the value and flog em off cheap, considering buying a set of thermo's that are on for $60 buynow :)

Has your distributor and/or coil died? There is no real need to adopt the AU ignition. At first thought, you will need a 36-1 tooth tone wheel or use the AU harmonic balancer which will need mean that your accesories will run out of alignment with the balancer. Then you will need something to drive the ignition such as a AU V8 ECU, then if you do this, you will need to overcome smartshield etc etc etc.

There are much easier ways to get a fatter spark.

Ah ok, no prob's just an idea haha. On another note, has anyone looked at my IAT question in ECU/fuel forum? I'm wanting to know if an XR6 IAT plug ill fit an 8, i have a pic of one and they line up plug wise, but the little plastic guides don't, but i can always chop em off
