Well if they're TW then Scaffy has a nice setup! For some reason I thought he had GT40P's, sorry.
In any case, either stroke it or go forced induction if you want to go harder.

Haha. I am happy mate, but just wanting that little bit more. It's an addiction! It's definately not a slug down low, but needs a few revs to keep it happy when doing things like backing into the garage, finding a carpark at the shops and that kind of thing. I also went through a booze bus a couple of weeks ago and the cops pulled me aside because my engine "sounds pretty lumpy". Fortunately he was a Ford man and just wanted a look, but did tell me that if it was a Commodore he would've slapped a work order on it. Was hoping to get something with a bit more discrete idle and that was happier to get moving just off idle. Like Shannon says though, if I want to do that then I'll have to go a smaller cam and lose power. I guess I can't have my cake AND eat it.

As for the tune, I tune it myself and it runs much better than when it was tuned by the pros. That's understandable though because if I paid for the hours I've spent tuning it, it would be in the thousands. Compression is around 9:1 as the bottom end is dead stock. Not ideal, I know.

Shannon, I wouldn't want the power to peak any sooner than it does. I can't remember off the top of my head where it's peaking at the moment, but I do remember thinking that it was quite low when it was on the dyno.

Jeff, I was thinking about lightening it lastnight actually. But where to start? All I can think is to pull the seats out. But they don't weigh all that much and the front seat won't be coming out as that'll just be silly. Especially if I bring someone with me. Haha.

Vic, no worries. Both those options are on the cards, but not for a while yet, unless I have a win in the lotto! :D
