Anyone know a source for SPS rod bolts? I'm re-building an AU3 XR8 and it looks like I'm not the first person who's been inside it - rod #4 has previously been replaced with a standard rod (and this has standard rod bolts). I rang Ford, and they only list one rod bolt for all AU V8's.

TIA, and help much appreciated

Everytime I think of rod bolts, I think of ARP.

Yep, I usually use ARP myself but the other 7 rods have SPS so it would be nice to match them. Plus the torque values will probably be different, and since Ford don't even list an SPS rod bolt as OEM parts, their torque reading is likely to be unreliable. A fastener that isn't torqued up enough is a disaster waiting to happen. If I buy a pair of SPS rod bolts they should come with the correct torque setting in the paperwork.
