Hi was wondering if a tb and egr from an 86-93 mustang would be a direct fit for my ebxr8 or do they need modding??

Throttle cable pulls the wrong way, you need to put another ball on it.
Standard T/B will get you into the 13's easy though....

I have a 65mm tb at the moment was thinking of upgrading to a 70mm to suit my stroker.
they seem to be cheap from the states.

I did a bit of testing on my old 5.0 and found no difference, and have a new 347 built that is reasonable tough, and I will still run the 65.
What manifold are you running?

I have a match ported power+plus typhoon manifold, which i've heard they're not the best though,my engines done 600k's since rebuild and i thought i'd upgrade a few things before i get the dyno finished once its run in,it pulled 187rwkw from new at 4500rpm but that was basically tuned just to get it running, should get around 220ish my tuner recons, need to upgrade my exhaust aswell and fit some high flow cats.

I think you would be better off spending the money on the exhaust, and possible manifold first IMHO, the 65's work bloody well....

That will more than likely be related to tune, and poor exhaust will not help.
A single 3 works well too on the E series cars....
A good set of 3 inch metal cats up front, and a real muffler, like a spintech, or flowmaster, or borla will make massive improvements too. The generic stuff you buy is not as good as you think.
