Hi Guys,

I have noticed a hole in the valley at the front of my 351C block. I will post some pics tomorrow. It is behind the where the water passages are.

What would have caused this? I dont recall this type of odd shaped broken type hole before, so it can only be a fault or failure of the block cant it? but how?

Cheers

It's normal don't worry there is nothing broken, I remember the first time I saw it, I thought something was wrong too.

I have only worked on Windsors and H****** V8's before and I took a look and thought "what the ...?!?"

Yes, it is an ugly lookin' hole!

Thanks for that, I felt stupid asaking, but I could not even find photos of it in any of the manuals I have sso I thought I should ask anyway ...

Once again thanks.

Smooth that hole out and take it downwards till flat. Lets more oil get back to the sump, and so does drilling out the holes in the middle of the valley, take them out to 5/8".

It never seamed to be as 'ugly' (from an engineering sense) as the Clevo of mine. Hence why I asked the question first, I didnt want to go to any more trouble with block if it was a no-go'er
