Mate, is it just an NL V8 or is it a Fairlane By Tickford?

If it's an FBT like 67RCE has asked, I wouldn't do anything to it except bring it back to pristine/concours condition.

If there is a burning desire to do mods to it, do only things that can be easily returned to original!!!!

An original FBT is, in my opinion, worth it's weight in gold.

If it is a Fairlane that has had some tickford treatment, well then I would be more open to bigger mods, myself.

Chris

Hey Guys thanks for the replys :)
It is a Genuine Nl Tickford Fairlane No.57 i think um its been really well cared for i have an old Eb 5.0L too & was thinking of removing the bottom end & buliding that up to the 347 status & removing the block out of myne & just using the heads & valley of the FBT engine but going by your comments i think im best just to leave her stock & give her some loving to keep her in her good condition, I have wanted one of these since i was a kid ay so i am very happy with the car just a bit worried about parts avalibilty Ie Gear box & brakes any idea on if the gear box was the same adaptive shift they used in the au1 2 &3 Xr series ?
