Are there any differences in the sumps on an EB-EL and AU 5L? would it be possible to use a Hi Energy EB-EL sump on an AU?

Are there any good aftermarket sumps? My stock one has a stripped thread on the sump plug, and i can't re-tap it in the car, i figured while i have it out I may aswell get a higher capacity sump for a little more protection, as well as getting an oil cooler

Go through Race parts, Quantum Industries etc up there and order the CORRECT sump..
Latter model sumps cannot have wings on the side like the older X series v8's.. Due to crossmember clearance..

ASR is a new brand I saw advertised in Just Parts. Maybe worth a try. They might actually have people who have ears and know how to weld?

Just googled and found this interesting bit....
"Give joel a ring at ASR 0416211012 he's grate guy and easy to deal with .(He used to be with HE)" Most likely he's a great guy
