Hi,

I went for a ride in my mates Holden with 454 Supercharged motor. Ive owned some powerful V8's and also XR6 turbo... And Ill say im surprised...

From the moment the key was turned, you get that crazy rumble and rattle when the car was started. I was actually scared in the car going for a ride..

Apparently the car make 1500+ foot pounds of torque..

The car was mini tubbed with big tyres...

But then he gave it and its all over the road... It just catapults forward drifting sideways. Seriously just had to back off, it got scary.

The sound is all blower when on full throttle.. Cant hear anything but blower.. Its bloody loud considering at idle you cant hear yourself think. Its really get in and hold on sort of stuff..

Like the roller coaster as it starts on its way down sort of stuff..

My Xr6 Turbo did 11.7... but Im sure this car would put lengths on it..

Any wild rides out there to assimilate this experience??

all part of the holden experience. haha

But on topic, have been in an LH torana with a blown 350. It pulled 10 flat's and was regularly street driven.

My personal favourite would have to be a datsun 260z with an n/a 351w that had been stroked to almost 400. It kicked a*** (but made my EL look like a race car in regards to handling).

Big cubes + 6/71 or more will give that instant torque that most street cars dont have.

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=dYuokYy2blA

this is was sent to me from a mate, 608 cubes of bigblock in a XA GT.

standing on it at 60-80 it was very impressive, its what wet dreams are made of.

I have been in a 454 powered stingray, what a death trap indeed. but i sure as hel loved every minute and was hoping for anychick to notice me in it (i was 16 :D )

I remember the first time I went for a ride in a XW GTHO. I know its a 351 windsor and no it didnt have the blower but I tell you what it was just as special.

I aslo went in a mates XC with a very healthy 351c that ran 10's and it made 100km/ph feel like 40.

twin turbo 7 litre V12 Jag, was built for/by Kerry Packer, MRE-50L knows the car and worked on it during his apprenticeship, dunno what it makes, will not stay on the dyno, 6 bags of cement and about 350 kg of men in the boot and it still spins the dyno.

Circuit/showpony car only. actually not much good as a circuit car, handles but overheats.
