Hi guys this is my first ever post so be kind lol

but im thinking of supercharging my ba xr8 i bought it 3 months ago and just had a dyno run done showing 261.4kw ATW im not sure what has been done i know it has headers, hi flow cats and 2.5 inch twin exhaust all the way but thats it the guy at the shop assumes cams have also been done and getting a new COI this week. So im just curious on whats better side mount supercharger or top mount?? What would produce more power?? And what supercharger on todays market is best value for money??

Thanks guys hope you can help!!

Kenne Bell!!!! a positive Displacement charger is the best, as they have consistant boost, unlike the linear boost delivery of a centrifugal charger.

Enough to break your motor! Honestly, depends on boost levels, but people have seen upwards of 500rwkw from Kenne Bell's on Modulars.

On a standard motor and about 8psi most people are getting ~400rwkw for a Boss engine. About 360rwkw for a Barra 220.

Best Supercharger??
Depends what you want to do .
I'm about to supercharge a V8 Windsor and I'll go another Raptor Centrifugal Supercharger as it's what I want.

Being BA V8 you have a lot of options, I suppose Harrop have a pretty good idea of what's good for a Ford B series V8

Given FPV have gone with them .......

Timbo I seen a 34 Ford hot rod in Hervey Bay last year with a PD sticking out of the valley of a Windsor and it peeled out sick at about 2500 revs (max), very attractive stuff.
Noice maate.

Contact Joe at CMS at Liverpool, site sponser, he will help you out. Best in my opinion, any of the Positive Displacement Chargers, Eaton, Wipple, Kenny Bell. Ford have used Eaton for years and still do to this day ie FG.

The only thing not standard were the headers and the intake, There is a BA XT with a supercharger from a GT-500 with the number plates "LIONHUNTR" he ran 360rwkw and 700 odd NM.

That will set you back about 14 grand.

The centifugal chargers are alot cheaper but don't put out as much torque, someone's got one on a Fairlane Ghia in perth.
