Today was realy hot in Sydney 38-42 & I tell ya the car was nearing boiling point serveral times the needle sat from norMAL & I tell ya I havent seen it that high & the thermos were going strong.

So if I do a coolant flush will the car handle the HEAT better or should I be looking at a better radiator?

nup with the stupid heat that we are experiencing, you cant do much about it. Provided that it doesnt hit the red, then you should be ok. It could be worse, you could have a 6 with the alloy head and different expansion rates that get worse as it gets hotter

mate i live in the central north west and there are 3 months of the yr where it doesnt get below 40'c in the shade and out in the sun it exceeds 50'c most days, get your self a descent radiator like a desert cooler or tropical 3 core with big tanks on it i have no problems with running my car at a good temp unless im giving it a hard time and a descent glycol not that cheap s**t also if you can change the temp that your thermos come on at coz i make my thermos come on in summer earlier coz once your car is really hot its alot harder for it to cool down then to try keep it at a cool level i find this helps as well. these are what ive done to my car and its worked off its nut and i dont have heating problems but then again we dont have stop lights in our town hahahaha
