probably not, infact almost certinaly not, but your lights will dim and your car will make funny noises... buck f**k me it'll stay cool! Some may remember my car a few years ago at the all ford day, cooked it good! but one set of AU2 twin thermos and those days are gone!

Short answer. Yes.
The belt driven fan requires power to work and gets this power from the crank, so remove the fan and that power is free to go to the wheels.

g'day cobber

yeah and no the poser from the thermo's has to come from somewear that somware is your battery which is charged by your altinator which is drivenfrom the crank the same as the clutch fan. but the thermo's are only on when you need them.

i've converted my car and truck and don't regret it but i still need to set the fairlane ones up properly (staged start so they both don't start at once. the lights do dim at the moment.

fairmont1998 he asked if he'd notice a difference, the answer is no. Sure there is less friction on the system and there would be a gain, but what gain? 1 , 2 hoursepower at the engine? hell lets say its 10 horses (and theres no way its that much to puch a bloody fan), put that down the drive line and you end up with around 7 at the treads, no you wouldnt notice it.

I have seen before and after dynos which show a consistent 5rwkw difference but as we all know dynos aren't always accurate. Anyway when I put mine on I do think it reved much easier, similar to the results underdrives made.

People are correct that the when using thermo fans the alternator is worked harder but you will find that if your cooling system is clean and you are driving around normally, the fans don't come on that often. With my 4 core radiator they will not come on unless you sit still for a while or if it is a hot day.

A hot summers day, when that clutch fan kicks in properly, you will notice it every time. Same summers day when your thermos kick in and the alternator loads up a bit more, I doubt you will feel it. My XG I had was so slow with the cluch fan going flat out it was embarassing. And the noise s**t you.
