It's the same Autorotor blower that KB use but he's modded an explorer upper to take a t-body on the plenum and it probably runs the blower out through an intercooler at front.
5k is about what a new KB kit would cost but without the intercooler of course. KB's really need an intercooler too...they make a lot of heat.

Yeah its just a different way of mounting it hey.
Usually the upper explorer would get ditched in place of the blower.
Is running a front mount the only advantage of running it this way?

There is an advantage to low end torque due to the long runners still being there, although a screw type blower has gobs of boost off idle so it's probably hardly noticeable and of course you pick up an intercooler aswell.
Replacing the upper with a custom liquid to air intercooler would be a pretty good idea.

Pete, any idea what mods are required to get a US (mustang) KB kit to fit e-series 5.0L?

Yeah..not much. It's mainly related to the fact that the t-body is on the other side....perfect opportunity to chuck the battery in the boot I say.
I have a mate with one in a ZL Fairlane too....just needed some slight clearancing on the drip rail on the top of the firewall otherwise it just bolts up.
