hi,any one know if you can boost signal to s5 solenoid to get a better lock up,rather than replace average one? i think replacement could be a $$$$$gold mine,any info guys. :roll: :roll:

^ what he said! Check out the shift kits, basically a resistor to reduce current flow to S5 and prevent it from softening the shifts. Also need a resistor on the wire that the ECU uses to check current flow to the S5...

try this, you will just have to join first

had tha same prob with my old excab, slipping gears, shift kit fixed it no probs, what model car is it? as I have got the diagrams for the EF & EL
