I have got a BA XR8 ute with a Boss 260 motor and I would like to upgrade to maybe a 290 thereabouts. what do I need to do to get some more grunt from the Boss. Thanks

A flash tune will get it on par with a boss 290.

A decent exhaust, a decent cold air (blue power airbox), under drive pullies combined with a flash tune will see you get some very nice gains indeed compared to stock.

get a decent air intake (blue power)
better headers (the stock ones are sucktastic), hi flow cats, then catback.

and tune, once done youll be very happy with power and sound
