I recently bought a DF LTD V8 (thanks to familybus) and its got a really tight, quiet and good performing engine, box and LSD. Im currently on holidays and my Fairlane sounds like its about to drop something but hopefully it will get the family n I home!

Before I put the new running gear in, Im guna freshen up (paint, any gaskets, seals etc) just so its all good. But is there any "subtle" performance upgrades I can add to the donk without making it into an absolute monster, as its my daily and family car.

Any information or even parts that you can help with will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Justin

Depending how far you want to go, i'd suggest adding GT40P heads, 1.7 rockers, Explorer manifold, 65mm T/B and a 70mm MAF. Thats a nice little combo on the stock cam which should keep you happy and definately perform better than the stock E7/HO motor.

Obviously ensuring you have a nice exhaust/header combo and free flowing intake (decent snorkle and filter).
