sounds like timing is 180* out ?? Double check program settings...
Could be inlet leak??
Post up some pics.. An EFI Clevo would be nice.

Nice in a 1990's + mustang lol. Call me crazy but EFI takes away from the whole muscle car effect lol.

Plenty of rotro fitted late model efi motors in early Mustangs...
If done right...It's still a power house "FORD" Clevo...

Not talking about the power house. I like my mustangs stock and completely original. you see alot of old mustangs with racing seats, moster tachos's all that sporty crap.

I just think that the engines like everything else should be original as possible. EFI in an older model mustang isnt necessary and to me takes away from the beauty of these cars.

Just an opinion.

hmm i dont know, sounds to me like either the dizzy is fried, or the coil is cooked, or maby even the alternator is stuffed.

but i would like som detailed info on this efi conversion, i have actully seen some efi kits from an old XR8 go cheap on ebay, very interested in doing it to my Clevo

My guess? Have you checked the plugs aren't fouled. Backfiring may have been raw fuel firing in the exhaust. I've done the same myself without EFI.
