you forgot d**k"s famous rock,i think that was an ed.

Note 67RCE's post and look at the pics in the links I gave above, the ED was never raced as a V8 Supercar.

The Rock was 1980 in an XD http://www.djr.com.au/jim-beam-racing-team-history.asp

The top pic is from the 92 AGP, that car was DJR's 1st attempt at a V8 Falcon, CAMS declared it not a touring car because of some of the technical innovations in it. He took it to the AGP, had to start rear of grid and would be classed not classified in the races. He built some new cars for 1993.

Funnily enough, the things like lowered engine mounting position, aerodynamic front end, rollcage design, sheetmetal inner wheelarches and different front end thats CAMS barred it for are all used on V8SC nowdays.

The 94 EB is one of my favourite race cars, it looked so tough with the duct taped grille and sharkfin front bar, covered in crap after 1000km.

As for the big stack in the xd that nearly killed him! I remember seeing footage of it! He literally ended up in the bushes! Car was rooted hardcore!

That was his XE greens tuf falcon which he clipped the tyres at forest elbow during the top 10 shoot out sending him into the trees
His XD trublu falcon was a lap or so in front when he hit the massive rock, both accidents could of been fatal.

Would I guess with a user name like RedRoo you might be a bit of a DJ fan too? :P

If you have a look on youtube there is a fair amount of old touring car racing these days.
