Just got an el 5.0 and it hasnt got standard injectors, well they look nothing like the orange tops in my eb anyway.
They are bright orange and have a smaller diamater body and dont use the stock plugs because they are wired in. part number is - ford XL2E-C5A. So they are ford injectors but i dont know what they are out of? Any ideas???

Apparently they are 19lb and if thats what the stock el ones are i have nothing to worry about.

I dont know why the guy did it but the plugs have been cut off and there are crimped on terminals to join the injectors to the loom
 The injectors actually have 2 wires coming out of the side. The car doesnt go well enough anyway to be mucking about with the injectors. Person i got the car off said they were high flowed and i cringed because i know your not meant to stuff with them on a stock motor, im assuming high flowed means drilled out? Im going to see what the fuel economy is like before i start changing stuff, only owned the car 3 days Anyhow thanks for the help, muchly appreciated

Sounds like they just used AU 19's and if it runs ok they'll be stock.
You can buy the adaptors to fit these injectors but this is the kind of stuff cheapskates will do. "high flowed" is in the same vein as "3/4 race" or "stage 2" etc....meaningless drivel spouted by f**k. But yes, drilling out injectors is a dodgy practice at best. I've got the genuine Ford pins for your original EV1 type injectors if you want to repair your harness. Or BPT sell flyleads with the EV6 type connectors for the injectors you have now. The Ford racing M-14464-A8 adaptors can be used when your harness has repaired back to stock. |

Thanks man, once i see what kind of economy i get i might have to pick your brain again. i wouldnt mind returning it back to the original setup, certainly be neater and i would know if the injectors had been drilled out once they were out.
