Hi all,
Can anyone tell me which grade of engine is best for EB 5L that has 217 000 klms. Handbooks recommends 15W40 Currently using Valvoline durablend 15W50 semi synth. |

I should think that would be perfectly fine for your car with the km's it has done.
Anyone else???? |

if it's not giving you any problems don't change. cars usually seem to make funny noises when you start changing oils around.
won't do any harm to run the slightly thicker oil on the engine after the milage it's done. with that said my 640,000km I6 still loves 15W-40! |

yeah, that should be alright...as twr7cx said if its not giving u trouble just keep using that....My dad has a Commodore with nearly 300,000kms on it and he uses 10w-40 and hes never had any problems with it and hes ALWAYS used the same oil from the word go...i use 10W-50, but my engines only a few years old...may i ask what brand ur using???

I would email Penrite and ask them but I would go with either HPR 15 or HPR 30.
