From what I have heard floating around the BoxR is a good choice.
Best place to get it from is summit racing.
If you go this route let us know if you want to sell your explorer manifold.

Best people to get that kind of info off is TerroristGHIA and XTT909.
Both deadset champion blokes and both have a good knowledge of the manifolds and have been down very similar paths before.

track heat is the baby of the 3

* Small cross-section 12.200 in. runners
* 1,500-6,500 rpm range
* 75mm throttle body inlet
* 2.000 in. x 1.200 in. port size at cylinder head
* 10.200 in. overall height to the flange

R series is next

* Large cross-section 12.000 in. runners
* 2,500-7,250 rpm range with 75mm upper
* 3,000-7,750 rpm range with 90mm upper
* 75mm or 90mm throttle body inlet
* 2.000 in. x 1.200 in. port size at cylinder head
* 11.000 in. overall height to the flange

and then the BOX R

* Large cross-section 9.750 in. runners
* 3,000-8,000 rpm range
* 90mm throttle body inlet
* 2.000 in. x 1.200 in. port size at cylinder head
* 11.500 in. overall height to the flange

hope that helps.

What do you want to do with the car. That will determine the manifol, sort of.

The BOX-R is to big for a NA 302, but works nicely on a NA 347 or Blown 302-347.

The R is similar
The Track heat lacks low down torque in my opinion.

For a good strong street motor that isnt going to see big revs i would look at a Cobra or Explorer, bhoth make great torque off idle ( depending on cam).
With a little head and cam work also look at the RPMII. I have sung its praises since i brought mine in early 03. The difference it made even on a stock e7 headed 302 was simply amazing.
All manifolds listed above are available from summit from between 600 and 800 US plus freight.
Thats my input.

Brett

If it's a raptor, keep your stock explorer intake.
