i know this has probably been done to death but i'm a bit of a noob when it comes to different types of oil.
Basically i'm gonna service the ute coz i'm driving to Bathurst next week..
I just wanted to know what the best engine oil to use would be??
Its an '03 BA 5.4l 3V v8

From memory its got 5w60 on the oil cap. It that good? Would there be an advantage/disadvantage if i ran 10w60 in it??

I dont think its 5w60 (waaay too thick). Pretty sure they run 5w30.

It was 10W30 from new and then Ford changed it to 15W40 to reduce oil usage.
