what pistons should i run for e series 5.0 block with gt40p heads?
i was thinking acl flat top race series but i could be wrong

There is a bit more to piston choice than just the heads, although they do play a big part. What are your plans with the motor. ACL's arnt bad, but you can get better for a similar price

gt40p's, au intakes, big tb + maf, cam. im just not sure if flat tops will work well or not?

Flat tops will normally give you the best burn, so if you can achieve the comp ratio you want, and the valve reliefs are in the correct spot/big enough, then they should suit what your looking for.

what do you mean about the valve reliefs?

i have the acl, race series flat top pistons in mine. havnt had a problem, no oil burning like i was told could happen with the acl's.
just a bit noisy till they warm up.
but i would recommend them
