raffy, just like what mick said, find one on ebay. If you want to find really cheap bits for your windsor, consider going to ebay.com and swindle a deal for a AU size one. Your car without a MAF will mostly start and idle but will run like the proverbial as previously mentioned. Your timing map right now would be less than ideal too even whilst running LPG.

Even try getting the ECU to spit out some codes for other possible dead sensors too so that you can kill 2 or 3 birds.

the guy at new oak ford had to check 3 times when i asked......$2133.00 was the price he gave me for a standard maf for a '97 nl 5litre.
no wonder alot of young guy's go holden , as parts are cheaper.

does the MAF need the gauze(flyscreen stuff) inside?? mine is missing....

Another bargain from Ebay :D Brand new Genuine Ford MAF for $275.00, and it even has the flyscreen mesh :P He has 10 available.

Mine doesn't have the mesh either, so not sure if it had been removed by the previous owner, but as long as your air filter is doing it's job I don't see why it would be necessary.

only there to stop tools and rubbish entering the pipe when changing the filters,dont need extras in the motor.
