a mate of mine is looking at buying a motor and i think its a stroker

it has a scat crank, je pistons and some form of forged h beam rods

its in pices, how do i tell if its a 347 or a 302?

what lengts are the rods?

For a 347 it will be 5.400" and it will be written on the side of the rod.

Standard 302 uses a 5.090" rod.

302 or 5.0 will have 3' stroke..
3.25 is a 330
3.45 is a 347 depending on bore oversize...
Yes both should have 5.4 rods if it's a good stroker...

cheers guys

yeah i thought so

i took the crank and a rod and piston to my mechanic mate and he confirmed that its a 5.4" rod so its definetly a 347

so excited, all this time i thougt it was only a 302.
