there's no such thing as an aftermarket top rad hose for the v8. i recently bought mine from car parts place for $66. there's not much you can do. if you need one, you just have to pay up.

I went through about 5 of them when I was breaking engine mounts due to the charger.

As has been said, Ford genuine ones are the only ones available. If you are keen, go get a custom piece made so it won't happen again. If not, just go to any car parts place (Coventrys etc.) and talk them down from the $90 price tag they quote.

I picked my ones up for anywhere between $50 & $75.

Just took mine off and split around the little hose connection. Haven't tested if it leaks yet but I think that question you guys have answered already. I really hate genuswine prices.

Davies Craig have just released an adapter so you can put their sensors into the hose line without going under the hose clamp. I wonder if you can adapt one of those.... I really do.

They are only $20 or so I think, and if they work (you might need a hydraulic fitting...) then you can just use standard hoses...

Mmm

Get a metal pipe same diameter as the stock top pipe, the get a nipple brazed on to it. Cut old damaged section out and use the pipe to replace it, probably cost more than 75 odd to do it though.

You need to flange it though - I did this for another application and without a flange it will pop off when it gets hot/sits
