Cold starts have been fine with the ute. Will idle at about 1100rpm for about 20secs then drop down to 900rpm where it will idle smoothly as per operating temp.
Sure it sounds a little grumpier when its cold, but hey, as said, thats the price you pay to have 230rwkw ;)

230rwkw?? WTF! Sorry to thread steal, but mate what the hell are you running to pull those sorta figures outta the old windsor?? You'd be lookin at 270kw+ at the fly??

even pm if ya get a chance!

^^Yep, what jeff said. ALthough his is more impressive as I have stroked my windsor and he has just a 5.0ltr with good heads and cam etc and he has a bit more kw than me too :) Read our build threads to compare.

I've got no ISC :)...
Don't ask, having problems wiht it,
but due to that on cold monrings i have to hold the revs up for 20sec or let it run for a bit before i can drive or it will stall whe nthe clutch goes in

I thought you'd have had her all apart and ready to breath fire before September Shannon. You've still got a month!

Had rough start /stall on wife's NL when stone cold in morning. Immediate restart would be OK- checked for codes & got high speed idle error - changed ISC -no difference. Changed EEC - no difference.
Pete suggested to look at MAF. Tried another MAF & it fired straight off - no problem. Had a much closer look at my MAF wire - there was a gel like substance was growing on it - cleaned it with contact cleaner & wooden toothpick last night - it fired ok this morning.
Richie.

Hmm, was the gel clear?
I have no idea what it is, or if it was put there, but I was checking my reverse light globes the other day, and the left light socket had all this clear gel crap in it. I don't know if it was put there as some kind of lubrication? Or it, as you mentioned "Was growing on it".

Any insight?
