Hi guys,

Car was starting fine yesterday but went to start it this morning got a quick turn over of the engine and nothing since. I get the click from the starter motor but that is it. I've read previous threads and cleaned the terminals on the battery. Where abouts is the inhibitor so I can check that? By reading the other threads this might be my problem.

Thanks in advance

Try Jump Starting.
Your battery could have collapsed a Cell overnight and is simply shagged.

If the starter is clicking I don't think the inhibitor is the problem.

Well I was wrong the starter is not making any noise it's the relay I can hear clicking. Tried the jump start nothing. I guess now it might be the starter motor.

Go to engine bay. Open the relay box thar.
remove second relay down form the top.
make sure car is out of gear and short it out.
From memory thats the starter smartlock relay.
If smartlocks screwing up that one will crank the engine.
Try it with the ignition on of course so it starts da car.

If no joy. Remove the starter solonoid wire and hook up a bulb to it then replace relay and turn key to start if the lamp lights up then look at the starter :(

Still having problems with this. I turn the key and the fuel pump primes and dash lights come on and all i get is the relay clicking. I've tried hitting the dash and still get nothing.

Is it auto? Move shift into neutral and try start. The sensor that tells car its in drive/neutral might be dodgey and casuing it not to start. Happened in mine once....

could always jump the starter motor solinoid? if it cranks ok then its not the starter motor.. my money would be on one of the relays under the coolant bottle,, either the brown or the green one.

also if your running smart lock is the inside light working if it isn’t you could have a blown fuse or bulb as that will also stop the car from starting.

as xf84 said, may be the neutral switch...had the same problem in my old car, had to move the bloody shifter to 6 different positions to coax it to start before i put a new switch in

btw - only if its auto!
