Hi all, my name is adam.
I'm hoping someone can help me please. I have searched here without any luck. Can an engine(new) from a 1993 XG Panel van be transplanted into a 1999 XH Panel van? I have been told there may be problems with the computer/body control/smart lock etc. Thank's in advance for any help:) Cheers,Adam. |

welcome to fordmods,
basically the same motor, just transfer the different bits of the xh motor onto the xg motor its mainly the serpentine belt setup thats different, but possibly some of the sender units are too, swap them wont affect the bcm/smartlock, or ecu |

Thats what I thought but i have auto electricians and injection people telling me it cant be done. Thank's mate

As 67 Fairmont said, An easy one. Probably best to use a new water pump, the one on the XG won't fit. Regards TPVM.
