Ride: XF Fairmont

Location: Melbourne
VIC, Australia

I am looking for some suggestions/help. I have an 85 XF Fairmont. It's had a newish motor put in and runs on straight gas. its got larger cams and genie extractors as well as a 2.5" exhaust. It has a full body kit, custom bumper from sydney, custom side skirts from perth and a front end from queensland which is in the process of being fixed due to damage. also has pioneer head unit sony xplod amp and a clarion sub with which i'm having problems. the fuel tank has been taken out and the gas tank put in its place. my problem is that the sub and box won't fit over the tank. im wondering if there is any easy way to remove the back seat to put the box into the boot that way. also am looking for any other ideas for wat to do next. will be getting a dark purple or black respray in the near future. cheers

go dark purple , will look s**t hot, nice car btw, to remove the seat you should see some bolts at the rear of the seats if they are the drop down type, or on the floor pan if they are solid. careful tho you might not have enough clearance between the gas tank and the seat to mount a sub.

hope that helps, Greg! btw welcome to the forums

thanx for the advice. will try it out 2mrw. its a manual which im lovin but ive gotta get a new clutch cable. does anyone know of any1 in my area who could make up a half decent metal one instead of the standard plastic one? the gas tanks sittin low so if i can fit it behind the seats then it wont be an issue. thanx for the responses
