I haven't been able to find any previous info on this so will have to ask. Sorry if I missed it.
I have an XD ute with a 302C in it and want to fit an instrument cluster with rev counter and 4 small guages. It all plugs in and works but the Rev counter reads high as was out of a 6. Does anyone know if it can be altered to read for an 8. I think the cluster came out of an XD ghia

I'm not positive with the XD's but I don't think the tacho's are interchangeable between six and eight cylinders.

Take it to an instrument cluster repair joint, they'd be able to sort it out.
