I have just sold my XF which i turbocharged. I got a turbo off my uncles old lewie truck. Cut out half the strut on the exhaust side so it would fit, cable tied the carbi onto the batter mount, drilled straight through the sump for the oil return line and pulled 30psi without blinking. Was a beaut machine and cost me... maybe $100 max, for some random fittings, welder wire, etc. lol

you just need to know what your doing

Cheers

i personally know two people with 180+ rwhp on 7-8psi with a stock 250 motor running lpg

I would be disappointed with that hp if it was my car.My xd which had an n/a cast iron head and bw35 made 197hp at the wheels.Quite easily i might add, wasnt even balanced and the auto was half dead.

You know, all you people who are knocking the 4.1.... I dont know if you know what your talking about.

The 4.1 alloy head was an awesome engine. Responded really really well to Porting, and *never* worked well with the auto.

As a manual though, they could be scary quick without the turbo, and that was back in the 80's.

They also didnt blow head gaskets like the 4.0's. I miss mine. Couldnt get it past 4500, but gee it got there with some *serious* style

Sounds like you neede a bigger cam,my old cast iron 250 used to pull to 5500 all day long and with the alloy heads they blow gaskets just as easy as the ohc if you dont use coolant.Any alloy head will corrode if not treated correctly. From my memory no manual falcon i have ever driven has been scary haha. Not stockers anyways
