hi Guys
i am doing up a XF Ute for my wife it has a major water leak on the drivers side it appears to come from under the dash
does any body know how to fix it

They all go like that, can happen on the passenger side too. Its a rust hole.
To fix it will require the cutting of the plenumn near the bonnet hinge point, but not the part that is seen from outside, the bit that is under the bonnet. Cut a section out with a thin angle grinder disc, about 0.8mm or 1.2mm.
It can be welded back in after the repair under that is done.

Does this type of repair, apply 2 both sides..ie the passenger side as well...

what it tends to be is under the plenum, there is an oval lip about half inch/three quarters tall.

this is to stop the water coming in the plenum and down through your vacuum vent box under the dash.

they are renowned for rusting away or just around the bottom.

as soon as you see it you'll know exactly what i'm talking about
