yeah i read about emission rulz came in pretty much when my xc was manufactured

as said before, decent cam, a set of pacemaker extractors into something like a twin 2.25-2.5" exhaust, pull the heads off and get the ports opened up a lil, 4V valves, and a decent air cleaner (maybe even a repro shaker.....)

IIRC the 351's had a carter thermoquad carby, which IMO isnt that bad, just get it sent off and rebuilt, preferably by a proper carby shop instead of your local mechanic, while it's off, get someone who knows what they're doing (or even the guy who you get to do any head work) to port match the intake manifold to the heads

if you want, it isnt exactly legal, but you could drop a holley on with a aftermarket manifold. for mild street use, something like a 650-700cfm vacuum secondary would be ideal

$4000 into the motor should see your power around the 350-400hp on a stock motor.
that's if you remove/refit the motor yourself.

> Cam Shaft (solid Grind ) lifters to suit
> Street Rollar Rockers
> Closed Chamber Heads ( 302c )
> Edilbrock Torquer Manifold
> Barry Grant Gold Claw carbie ( Holley )
> 3500 , 4000 rpm torque converter
and i dont think you will get much change from that combo :)

thats allright in the begining i was going to set aside 10 grand but 5 grand might do for now. i really need to do the brakes, lower it and make it handle better. i c your car around heaps.

See steve of rpm motorsport in wetherill park, the only thing your mates gen3 will be doing is sucking in your tyre smoke as you disappear into the distance.

He warmed my engine a while ago, and it wheel spins into 4th with 275's on the back doing well over 140kph :D :D :D
