Just bought a 78 XC and the front and rear parkers arent working.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the car ?

the problem may lie with the connection on the steering column.
from memory the XC ran simular indicator stalk to a Corty and i have had trouble with corrosion in where the wiring loom connector sits and it was causing my headlights to malfunction.
just unplugged it and gave it a spray with some crc or simular. and plugged it back in and voilah.. my problems were solved.. this may also be the problem with the indicators if none are working at all.

P100, I will give you the tip that the blinker switch has NOTHING to do with parker problems on a XC!

I would suggest you check if your headlight switch is corroded. You may be able to tax one from a XD/XE as these are generally in better nick.
I have a gregories manual for the XC but it isn't with me. I will email a copy of the diagram when I get back home.

I pulled the switch out yesterday and found that it wasnt working, the parking lights are working running permanent power to them, the switch seems to be knackered though. Ill try source a replacement. Cheers

mate go to an old ford wrecker, had the problem with my mates xc, and xd/e unit will fit in its spot as previously stated, and itll only cost u about $15
