G'day all!
Seen an XE Fairmont Ghia for sale, think it's an ESP. 6 cylinder, 3 speed auto, gold snowflakes, phillips premium sound, electric windows, mirrors etc. Pretty rusty, unlicensed, fulla s**t inside, heapsa spiders... Whats it worth, any ideas? Also, its got all the ESP stuff, but its not the colours!!! Is it a real ESP, a Faker, or a Limited Edition, with the ESP add-on??? I'm lost nearly!

the gold snowflakes dont mean much.....
the rest is regular kinda stuff for any XE Ghia, as all of it was optional does it have the scheel seats?

didn't the esp's have the 5.8l motor aswell.
From what i remember they were basically a police pak, and as ford were getting rid of the v8's they made this to use them up |

IIRC, they came in 6s to, though not as desirable. I dont think they were badged as Ghias though, well the ones i used to see werent i am sure, but could be wrong.

Can you get any photos of the interior
If its the ESP interior id pay no more than 1000 for it - you can get old esps in that condition with factory 5.8s for around that |

all XE ESP's were based on the fairmont ghia, XD's could be optioned with the ESP pack across the range
not all were V8's, there were more 6's than 8's even a pretty sad genuine 351 XE ESP will pull more than $1k

Also, the lighting for the dash was red, not green like the rest of the ghia's. My old man had a genuine 351XD esp, i brought it off him, moved to Sydney it was stolen 3 weeks later and it hasnt been seen since. That was 14years ago.
They were available as 4.1 EFI, 4.9 Carby auto or manual and 5.8 auto or manual in the XE. If you can find a genuine 351ESP XE for 1k, let me know, i will buy the thing. They are still pulling 10-15k in poor to excellent condition, if they are genuine Brett

 thats right XD esp had red dash lights, cluster lights and red clock. XE esp had green dash lights, cluster lights and green clock.

Bought the thing anyway, good price, nice parts. got it home, turned out it is an ESP, got all the ESP extras, including the Scheel seats, Phillips premium sound, 15" GOLD snowflakes. So proud. Thanks for the help though!
