did the xe every come out in a 351 in the fairmont ghia i bought one in v good cond and he said the its original but cant find any info bout it any help would be great thanks

XE Ghia's came optional with either 351, 302, 250EFI or 250 carby
do the engine and body numbers match? whats the engine code on the complaince/build plate?

ill look at that 2nite it was built in 82 only reason i ask is that red book and carsales reserch section dont have it listed

they didnt discontinue the V8's in XE's untill late 82/early 83, but even then, the V8's were still available if you knew who to ask
redbook is about as reliable as a politicians promise

the engine code is P and the vin has 58553k on the end if that means anything cant see the engine no but should be that

P for an engine code tells me it originally had a 302

V8s were available across the board.
Last falcon V8 was november 82 but the fairlanes and LTDs were still V8 in early 83 are you sure that Vin number is correct?? whats the first part of it JG32AB?? |

thats just the model code, not the VIN number
