I heard this could be done - anyone know how and where to get onto whoever does this? Or has anyone done the conversion?

The ram assist style Pwer steer is out for me so this is the way I'd like to go.

Power Steer also = very nice to drive.... :D

I've never tried to fit an XF box to an XY, but i have heard that only 2 of the 3 bolts line up with the holes in the chassis rails.

I think two of the XF box holes don't line up so new holes will be required

On the up side, the XW/Y has a zig zag web in the chassis to stop the steering box bolts crushing the chassis - instead of using crush tubes
This says to me that new holes in the same general area should be OK

One thing I just noticed on the ZL I am wrecking is that there is a hollow in the chassis where the box bolts on.

I'm going to make a template of where the holes are on the ZL and compare it with the XY

Maybe I'll chop the section out of the ZL chassis to have something good to work from...
