Hi guys im looking at putting a Hydraulic master in my xf its currently cable i was just wondering the best way about installing it theres no bolt holes for a master any help would be great cheers :?:

Sounds like a head f**k to me, you also have to mount the slave cyl, new bell housing? not sure been a while since i f**k around with that sort of thing, why you want to change?

Im putting a v8 in so i want to have decent clutch ive heard the old cable will rip the firewall up

Heard of E series manuals f**k up the firewall, which can be fixed, not heard of it happening to X series, quite possible i spose. Why not strenghten the firewall where the cable goes through? are you upgrading the clutch? will it be heavier? be easy to strengthen it while the motor is out.

cracking of fire wall can be stop with a well maintained clutch cable every so often clean and oil check for cracking of outer cable a poorly maintained one will cause a heavy clutch giving more stress onto firewall i do my cable cable one a year
