You'll need a few items from an XG ute to help with fitting the 4.0 into the XF.
The diff from an XG would also be a good upgrade too.

XG Radiator wouldn't go astray, looking at the photos. Maybe running an XH ecu to get rid of the Davies Craig switch for the thermo fans???Snap?

Yeh im already trying to get a hold of some XG engine mounts, sway bar and radiator, would the LSD from the xr6 not fit up to the XF??? i was kinda hoping to swap out the entire rear end so as to get rid of the old drums and get a better diff

will definitely be getting an XG radiator. but you lost me on the thermo fans. would it not just be set up the same with the XG radiator? running the ECU out of the EB? (also im ordering a smartlock bypass with all the other bits and pieces im getting)

Yeah, EB ecu would work fine because my wiring on the thermo fans is absolutely perfect in every way 8-) . Snap on here told me about the XH ecu as it would tidy up the wiring because of the inbuilt fan driver and the stock utes ran the log manifold.

Oh yes the wiring is brilliant! even by NASA standards ;) i really need to work on my wiring skills though, i could not read that diagram to save my life hahaha
but yeh ok that actually sounds really handy. Would the dissy have any problems with that?

But on a side note, before any of this conversion can start going ahead i have a ford courier with a blown engine (she blew a big end bearing and threw the piston into the spark plug so i now have alloy all through my engine, lovely times :)) Ive just got a second hand engine to drop in it and put her on the corner for sale, also should put some money in my pocket to help get the XF looking shmick ;)
