what are the wreckers asking for emm can i buy one new?

by sender do you mean the pickup inside your tank? and its just leaking outta the o-ring that seals the top of your pickup to the tank? o rings are real cheap, even fuel pickup units themself are.

hey
yes the unit in the top of the tank in the xf utes no o ring is fine it is the main fuel feed pipe it has a crack in the top around the pipe and previous owner has just packed putty around it but over time that has cracked and is leaking again so to fix it properly i wanna just replace it can you tell me if i can buy emm new or do i have to go to a wrecker?

dunnno if theyre sold new. go to pickapart or pickn pay or watever yer local wreckers is and get one for like ten bucks.

vdo will still sell them, you need to know the resistances tho of full and empty, then you can get one, they are $$$ tho

u gotta measure the output wires, empty will be in free air, measure, note resistance, then full, measure (submerged in liquid) note resistance, alternativly if you can still read the code on your sender you can call vdo up and quote the code, but the resistances is the easiest way to do it
