hi i cannot figure out why my falcon is having trouble starting, i go to 2nd accessories and then go to turn it over and nothing? it just works when it wants to, i have replaced them with new ones but still having same drama. Would not having a cover over them affect it if they're not wet? Any info muchly appreciated. Ben.

yeah nothing at all but i keep trying and wiggling the terminals and then go back and will just randomly work. Does that sound like smart lock?

next time it does it just lightly thump the steering wheel or the lower dash just infront of your left knee while trying to start and see what happens, if it starts its your smartlock module... sometimes the smartlock module gets a dry solder joint on the starter curcuit..

Yep, agreed +1.

Still have to tap the dash, in my Fairlane every now and again. Right in front of your left knee, as Troyman said, while holding key on full start.

Covers will always be of help. I had a similar issue a while ago but got it fixed and now I use covers on them and it's been fine since. My issue was that the car had been sitting around for ages but yeah similar issue
