Yeah I was starting to think that. But then where the hell did these come from? What was on the "Splash" ute? :?

There were only so many different trim levels in the utes. The spalsh - which later became the S and your ute was made too late to be a splash, and as you say its not an outback or a tradesman. It could be an s but it doesn't have the dash as you said. An s pack has rear demister, cruise, four speaker sound, ugly mags and all the bumpers and what not a colour coded (well on mine anyway). There is a rumour that towards the end of the XHII production run just before the AU's, the Factory was putting all sorts of stuff on the utes - hard tops, canopies, roll bars and what not but I doubt that those flares are factory - the only ones that ever came out on Falcon utes were tiny lip things and I see them commonly on XFs and XGs. Hope this helps....feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

pull them off and see if they have part numbers, then youll know.

Ive seen flares on a few utes, they could be the lip ones everyone's talking about of like yours i cant remember but they looked standard and the utes were just a longreach with a sports pack with roll bars and such.

Ive also heard of another bloke who has an xr6 ute that had flares optioned from the dealership along this the xr6 skirts

XH's really are a bitsa car. The seats your talking about im pretty sure there just standard gli ef falcon ones. Centre console is EB haha and steering wheel is ef/el. bitza :)

Just ripped the flares off. They are genuine Ford parts (and chockas full of mud!)

Can't sell em cos they hide the huge creases in the guards where I put the old girl thru a creek and smashed the bullber into the ground and then into the guards
