I know they're not available any more, but can you tell me if the suction/discharge hose for AC on EF and EL 6cyl are the same?
I've found a place that sells them but they say they're only for EF. |

can you tell me if the part numbers for the pitman arm on XA to XF P/S are the same for manual steering? really need to replace the steering box in my XF ute soon and im going manual steering.

George would you please be able to tell me if the threaded bung that goes in the top of the heater pipe on an AU 5.0 is available?
It is the coolant pipe that runs back from the manifold to the heater hoses. The part I am after is on the hexagonal fitting that screws into the inlet manifold under the coil packs. If you need a picture let me know. I have found the source of the ongoing coolant leak in the ute. Want to fix it before it craps out completely.

The plug you are after is obsolete but the pipe is still available. The Pipe is $141.00 retail.

Was just reading over your lucifer thread. I have an AUII xr6 ute, and am looking into the BA brake upgrade...
Q1) I will need brakes off an early model BA right? Due to bore size change... Q2) can I do the same with rear brakes? Or is that more effort then it's worth?

If you find a set of brakes that use the 322mm front rotors all the better, but you WILL need to change the front brake hoses whichever way you go. FG Calipers should be ok too but you will have to change them over from left to right as FG Calipers are rear mounted.With the Rears, you could try to get a set of rear calipers and discs off a Territory but you WILL need to change the brake backing plates as well which you can get from a BA/BF ute but they would need to be for the larger disc size, the Territory uses 328mm rotors, like the BA/BF High series rear brakes used on XR's an such. Your Master cylinder should be able to handle all of this. |

I just went to the wreckers to ask for a rough price on the brake gear...
$77 a side for calipers and rotors, but the guy didn't know what you meant by outriggers (as mentioned on the Lucifa thread when ash asked you about it). Do I need those or? If yes what exactly do you mean by outriggers? Cheers in advance, for that price I don't know by people don't do this for every au lol o and if i am very interested in the larger size rotor/caliper (high series ba/territory), does it have to be from an SX ("04-"05) model territory?

Most wreckers have no idea what it means anyway. No, it can be from the SY as well but it is easier to find because the BA/BF ones are not so prevalent. There are more Territory's on the road with the big brakes and the larger setup is standard. P.S. I would just buy the Calipers, clean them up and buy NEW rotors.
