After taking the TE down the quarter mile we were wanting to possibly get another second out of it. What modifications would some of you suggest without going overboard like Chris is thinking blowers and superchargers. The exhaust has been done and has the cold air intake. |

1 Second is a fair bit!
I'd say cam, headwork and extractors. V8's always seem to make massive power with head/cam packages. |

| Make the engine breathe far better on the inside at the very least and force more fuel down it's throat. |

Gears will help you more than anything else - go deeper 3.7's or 3.89s.

| I agree the cheapest option is slicks and gears, but its best chance of long term improvement is cam and head |

Sorry - i thought you asked how to get a second quicker on the 1/4, I didnt realise you meant on the street.
Slicks should wipe off a little bit (but track only), and a driving lesson should wipe off a bit too. Diff gears will help, but if you do any highway driving, it can be annoying with the higher revs
its amazing how much a difference a few driving lessons make. I love to let my mate who owns the australian academy of motorsport drive my car.. cos I see what he does, and then I have something to aim for.
I let him run a 1/4 in my car, and he ran 0.7MPH faster than me... so I know the car has it in it, I just gotta get more practise to get there. |

For that continuous improvement, it'a all about volumetric efficiencey. Get your lower extrude honed, your GT40P's match ported and some work done on the short turn radius. The valve springs will also need to be uprated for the higher revs. I can get you a much better MAF and the Tickford extractors should be replaced with something a bit more free flowing (Hurricane's, DeFilipo's, Pacemakers). You need to get the cam in the right rev range so auto's need a higher stall converter - manuals just need to be launched at higher revs...
There are plenty of threads on improving the Windsor - just do a search

Have enquired about that, a cheap thing to do to get a bit more power. |

| A small inexpensive NOS kit will give you .9 on the 1/4 but for the street about $2000+ on "refining" the volumetric efficiency should do the trick! |

If a blower didnt bring her into low 12's there is something wrong.
Most of the T Series I have seen run at WSID were running mid 13's, so you would want a lot more than half a second from a blower!! |

| We are very keen on the blower. Spoke to Marks workshop at motorvation and for about $10000 fitted we should get about 360hp at the rear wheels which would run about 12's. Play with the injectors etc and would be better again. |
