It is based on the 1004 profile and has been developed for the purpose of improving the idle characteristics and also to produce more torque. The profile, which we have designated as 1604, has been tested and has exceeded our expectations in the areas mentioned above. Specs wise, the 1604 has less lift and duration (both advertised and @ 0.050") on the exhaust side than the 1004. The phase angle is 113 degrees. The advertised timing is IN. 20 - 64 EX. 59 - 17. Cam lift IN. 0.241" EX. 0.237". Duration @ 0.050" IN. 204 degrees. EX. 192 degrees. We will endeavour to post feedback as we receive it.
