We have developed a new profile for the EA / EL series 6cyl engine. Please note. This profile will not work in EL engines that have the AU
head fitted.
The specifications for the 1636 are as follows:
Cam lift - Intake 0.248". Exhaust 0.242".
Advertised duration - Intake 264 degrees. Exhaust 258 degrees.
Duration @ 0.050" - Intake 206 degrees. Exhaust 198 degrees.
Advertised timing - In. opens 22 closes 62. Ex. opens 60 closes 18.
Phase angle - 113 degrees.

where are the benefits and power gains in this style cam?
i was considering getting one for my falcon but am unsure of the benefits and wat needs to be done to the head for it to get optimal power increase

The 1636 is suited to engines that are basically standard, including standard springs and standard ECU.
It's intended to produce a modest gain of kw's with little or no modifications. Results vary which is why we don't quote specific gains.
The rev range will run for 2500 to the rev limiter. |
